Senior Yoga Teacher Kathy Ran is excited to present this 20 hour ON LINE Rocket Yoga Intensive  CPD module designed for yoga teachers and yoga enthusiasts. A Rocket Yoga 20 hour certificate will be given.  This will be an awesome weekend filled with fun and flight.

Non teachers with more than 3 years experience are welcome to apply to deepen their own practice.

Rocket:

Larry Shultz  developed the Rocket in order to make the more challenging poses of the Ashtanga Series' accessible to all levels. The Rocket sequences encourage a fun, playful, yet strong and invigorating yoga practice. In all, The Rocket gets you to a place of strength, flexibility and stamina more quickly, teaching you the art of modification and how to link breath, bandhas and movement to create flight.

 

The Rocket I is a reimagining of the traditional Primary Series of P. Jois' Ashtanga 

The Rocket II follows Jois' Second Ashtanga Series 

The Rocket III combines I & II for a fun, dynamic 90 poses in 90 minutes

The Training:
This training will provide you with the foundation to begin to instruct or improve your own practice.  You will learn 3 Rocket sequences (suited for beginners to advanced), learn the 'art' of flying, sequencing, playing with arm balances and inversions as well as exploring the History & Philosophy of The Rocket & Larry Schultz.

 

This training is for yogis and yoginis with some experience practicing and instructing in either Ashtanga or Vinyasa, and who want to deepen their practice, learn the sequences (Bottle Rocket, Rocket 1,2 & 3) and transitions that make The Rocket so unique, creative & fun!

 

Over 2.5 days you will earn a 20-hour Rocket yoga certificate. Of the 20 hours, 17 are contact hours with Kathy & 3 hours to be completed through self-practice, self-study & building up experience teaching and sharing the Rocket!

 

Content:

 *Bhandas and Pranayama

•Daily lead practice of Rocket 1,2 or 3

*Sequence

*Advanced asanas

•Abdominals

•Jump backs from seated postures

•Inversions including handstands from standing positions

•Creating fluid movement throughout your practice

•Creating and sustaining breath and energy

•Rocket 1,2,3 

•Advanced sequencing around the joints of the body.

•Arm balance transitions

•Improve timing and tempo of practice.

•Ashtanga basics

•Handstand training exercises.

•Learn how to assist/spot handstands,inversions, arm balance and backbends.

•Learn the art of flying.

•Fine tune your Rocket instructing and practice.

•Hot to develop more focus.

•Practice self study.

•Awaken spiritual fire.

•Intuition tune up

•Pacing and tempo

•Writing out a Rocket class including breath and Rocket transition.

This training will take place at BLACK LOTUS YOGA STUDIO IN MILL HILL.

Requirements for Rocket Yoga Intensive


Prior experience teaching with a background in Ashtanga or Vinyasa Flow is recommended.

Acceptance to this training is on an individual basis after completion of an application form.
