In my early 20s I attended my first Bikram yoga class, looking for a way to keep fit without going to the gym. Walking into the studio the heat hit me like a wall! I began to wonder what I had gotten myself into. I found the heat mentally torturous, physically draining and entirely detoxifying. I walked out of the class as though I was floating on air!

A few years later I stumbled across Ashtanga yoga and fell in love with the challenging dynamic flow of rocket and vinyasa and have never looked back.

Yoga for me is not a work-out, it is a work-in. It’s become my sanctuary, allowing me to open my heart pushing myself in ways I could never imagine both on and off the mat.

Soon it became more than the asana, and I wanted to delve deeper into the true path of yoga, studying spiritual scriptures, and Sanskrit.
